ADS Securities Launches New OREX Optim GUI

ADS Securities has completed the global roll-out of its new OREX Optim GUI. The GUI developed by the in-house team with external advisors has already been highly praised by users. It combines the latest approach and thinking on the best ways to prioritise on-screen data with the knowledge and expertise from traders and platform specialists. The design focuses on highlighting essential data and dropping back non-essential information, which helps streamline decision making. The screen uses 'flat' graphics, a feature of the latest iOS and Android operating systems, which allows core functionality to be clearly displayed and not lost amongst less important feeds.

Philippe Ghanem, Executive Managing Director and Vice-Chairman of ADS Securities, sees the GUI as linking the financial know-how and strength of the company with state-of-the-art technology. "Through the new GUI clients can access multiple-asset classes selecting the level of sophistication and functionality which suits their trading. From informed individuals through to institutions the GUI provides a uniquely scalable trading experience. The Middle East is becoming an increasingly important financial hub and the technology provided by ADS Securities offers a new and important gateway into the region."

The GUI was beta tested with a number of clients prior to being released to all customers. Global Head of IT at ADS Securities, Andrew Rossiter, commented on the new GUI, saying: "Introducing a new GUI we wanted to have an access point to our services which reflects the technology and innovation which has gone into developing the OREX Optim platform. This was never going to be a simple job of introducing new icons and changing the page around, we wanted a completely different look, feel and customer journey. The platform has the architecture in place to deliver great prices and execution with low rejection rates. We wanted a GUI which reflects this level of delivery and sophistication."

OREX Optim was designed from conception as a multi-asset platform with the ability to trade a range of financial instruments from a single screen. This requires a very structured and clear GUI which clients can tailor to their own trading style. The GUI design will also be adapted and used for mobile and tablet devices and this will be launched in Q1, 2015.

"When building OREX Optim we had the advantage of not having legacy technology, we started with a blank piece of paper and designed the platform to provide the trading clients want. However, to provide multi-asset trading off a single GUI requires a very clear screen with good functionality and features, and one which provides traders with the essential data they need," added Mr Rossiter.
