Alpari is pleased to announce that Alpari was named the largest Russian Forex broker for 2012 in a recent report from Interfax, an independent Russian news agency.
In December 2012, Alpari management held a press conference where some of the company's key operating numbers were revealed, a first in the Russian Forex industry. The data reaffirmed Alpari's place atop the Russian Forex market. Over the year 2012, Alpari clients from Russia and the CIS traded an average of 84.9 billion US dollars per month, and the number of active clients from this region reached 93.6 thousand.
We should point out that Alpari was also named the largest Russian broker of 2011 in a previous report from Interfax.
"Even though 2012 was a down year for the international Forex market, and this downturn had a negative impact on the Russian market as a whole, Alpari still managed to reassert itself as a leader in the industry, and actually improved its financial figures. The total trading volume at Alpari for the year exceeded 1 trillion US dollars. Last year, Alpari clients gained access to additional sources of liquidity and an optimized lineup of trading accounts as well as faster and higher-quality order execution. Additionally, the company expanded its line of investment products and financial services, giving clients the chance to invest money in ready-made portfolios of PAMM Accounts," said Alpari CEO Boris Shilov about the company's performance in 2012.
